Senior Marketing Manager

Reports to: Group Sales and Marketing Director

Location: Manchester/ Hybrid working

Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:30, 37.5 hours per week with 1 hour lunch break

Salary: Competitive (DOE)

Focus of the role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Marketing Manager who will lead all our marketing activities, driving the creation and implementation of marketing and communications campaigns, positioning the BCN Group brand to the forefront of all key vendors and partners, and instilling a one-business-brand mentality within BCN Group.

This is a new, exciting, and varied role that would suit an ambitious marketer looking to take the next step in their career into a Senior Marketing Manager or Head of Marketing role. You will have a good understanding and experience of developing activity across a range of channels that is not only engaging and informative, but also contributes towards our commercial objectives

The role requires someone who can play a ‘hands-on’ role day to day and manage and mentoring one direct report. We’re looking for a self-starter who can think of their feet, take on any challenge and who can react quickly in a fast-paced, ever-changing, technology industry.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Executing BCN Group’s marketing strategy – delivering on time, within budget, to a consistently high quality
  • Coach and mentor direct report(s)
  • Work closely with the sales teams to create and implement marketing plans to effectively to drive sales leads and engagement
  • Measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives to drive continuous improvement
  • Identifying market opportunities for growth
  • Work with the Group Sales and Marketing Director in strategic planning to achieve business growth
  • Responsible for the utilisation of the marketing budget to deliver maximum ROI
  • Alongside internal stakeholders, maintain and strengthen relationships with all key vendors to ensure we’re seen as the partner of choice
  • Develop marketing reputation inside and outside of BCN Group
  • Manage 3rd party relationships for content creation and design

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Experienced Marketing Manager
  • A proactive person, you are enjoying finding opportunities and driving them forward
  • Keen interest in technology
  • A digital first approach
  • Experienced in strategic planning with key stakeholders
  • KPI and performance reporting
  • Experience with developing and executing marketing strategies
  • Experience with managing individuals, teams, and 3rd party agencies
  • Experience working and building brand positions with vendors and partners
  • Managing marketing budgets and expenditures
  • Working with internal stakeholders to promote the marketing brand internally
  • Can-do attitude and willing to learn
  • Must be self-motivated, resourceful and be able to work on projects independently
  • Highly organised and have excellent time management and prioritisation skills
  • Experience using HubSpot, WordPress, PR campaigns and award entries, Marketing workflow management and exposure to the IT and/or technology services sector would be desirable but is not essential.
