Support from Microsoft for SharePoint 2010 comes to an end

Microsoft will officially terminate mainstream support for SharePoint 2010 on 13 October 2015

There are still quite a few businesses out there that have not yet upgraded for one reason or another. Often this can be due to lack of available resources, funding or knowledge preventing you from making the leap to SharePoint 2013. In real terms, after the support end date business will lose:

  • Security updates
  • Non-Security functional and system updates
  • Complimentary support
  • Design feedback and ability to request design changes
  • Paid SharePoint support
