How BCN helped PEAK4 bring elite sports science to the workplace

Born in the world of high-performance sport, PEAK4 is redefining how businesses think about wellbeing by embedding it into the fabric of daily work. Their goal: to help businesses drive success by optimising human performance in the workplace, using data-driven, personalised wellness recommendations.
“Lots of time and money is spent on technology, infrastructure and plant machinery, and what we’ve found is there is nowhere near enough finance spent on the actual human being,” said Dave Horrocks, Director of Research and Development at PEAK4. “That’s where we’re disrupting the marketplace and trying to change things.”

Working closely with PEAK4, BCN designed and delivered a full-stack Microsoft converged technology solution, blending no-code, low-code and pro-code technologies with AI, automation and secure, UK-based cloud infrastructure.
PEAK4 committed to using Polar 360 wearables for tracking metrics like heart rate, sleep and activity. We knew Microsoft Azure and Fabric gave us a powerful way of consolidating all this information, so we used that to build a secure and robust data lake.
This enables a holistic overview and analysis of wellbeing that goes beyond obvious work-related insights to consider the broader lifestyle factors that can impact wellbeing and performance – things like sleep duration and quality.
