Founded in 1987, The Anderson Group generates an annual turnover in excess of £50 million from its involvement in construction, design and build, contaminated land, property development, sites in receivership and plant hire. Based in Chelmsford, Essex, the company has over 130 IT users spread between its head office, a satellite office in Grays and mobile staff.

The Anderson Group has a very large remote workforce, many of whom are based at construction sites, therefore having access to key business systems was a fundamental requirement for all staff. The business was faced with the challenge of how to provide remote working capabilities to employees in a controlled and secure way, on devices that complied with company IT policies.
BCN, working with The Anderson Group, identified the need for a suitable Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution that would enable them to manage their mobile device estate and ensure that these devices would comply with company IT policies.
The Anderson Group were early adopters of Microsoft Cloud services – specifically the Office 365 product suite. For ease of administration and, given the capabilities of Microsoft Office 365 Intune, it was decided that Microsoft Office 365 Intune was the preferred MDM solution.
BCN provided The Anderson Group with the required consultancy and technical expertise for scoping and setting up the service. The Anderson Group now have a centrally managed Cloud MDM solution, which ensures all company-owned mobile devices conform to the business IT and security policies.
