Microsoft is launching a public preview of its healthcare agent service for Microsoft Copilot Studio – the Azure Health Bot. This platform offers a complete set of tools and features for building powerful, connected agents. The new healthcare agent service lets users create safer healthcare agents using generative AI and a specialised healthcare stack.
Customers can now build their own agents with reusable, healthcare-specific features, pre-built healthcare intelligence from trusted sources, along with templates and pre-built healthcare use cases. It includes cutting-edge healthcare-specific chat, clinical, and compliance safeguards to ensure these agents meet industry standards and address safety concerns.
This service empowers healthcare organisations to develop their own generative AI agents for patients and clinicians, supporting a range of uses: from appointment scheduling and clinical trial matching to patient triaging and more. Furthermore, it allows organisations to extend their agents with plugins, regardless of where the plugins were built.
The Azure Health Bot gives healthcare developers the tools to build and deploy AI-powered, compliant, and conversational healthcare experiences at scale. It uses a built-in medical database alongside natural language processing to understand clinical terms, and it’s easily customisable to fit your organisation’s specific clinical needs. The service is designed to meet industry compliance and is privacy-protected based on strict data privacy and security laws such as the GDPR.
